 Painting in the North Country
I
grew up in a small town in northern Wisconsin. When I was 11, my family
moved to White Bear Lake, Minnesota, a suburb of St. Paul. I have lived in
the Twin Cities area for most of my life. I now live in Stillwater,
Minnesota, a small historic town on the St. Croix River between Minnesota
and Wisconsin, and I have a family cabin near Hayward, Wisconsin.
I
like painting the four seasons in the north country. Winters are
difficult, however, because I start many paintings en plein air and
when the temperature drops below 32 degrees, my acrylic paints begin to
freeze!
