Welcome to my website

I am an artist of painting and film.  I love both!  There are times when I need to go into nature and make  paintings - images created from paint on canvas that express the way I see the natural world.  

And then there are times when I must make films - moving images, created from light on film, that tell a story about the human world as I see it.

The two activities are not in conflict; in fact, they feed off of each other.  When I have been painting for a certain time, and then turn to filmmaking, I find that the act of painting has enhanced the creative flow for making films.  And vice versa.

I live in Stillwater, Minnesota, an historic town on the St. Croix River. Almost every day I walk along the banks of the river.  It gives me inspiration for all of my creative activities.
